Kindle Worlds

Ah, but to the Tralfamadorians he's still alive, and Vonnegut's worlds are one of those you can write in. Hugh Howey wrote one in the world Slaughterhouse-5. There are a bunch built around Ice 9.

Maybe here's the trick. Vonnegut planned out SH5 (and Breakfast of Champions, which was initially part of it) by taking a piece of wallpaper for his daughter's room and drawing on the back lines for each character's life. When a line ended, the character was dead. That of the universe ends when the Tralfamadorians try a new rocket fuel. In a sense, by seeing all these timelines at once and by also putting them down in his books for us to see, he's made us Tralfamadorians too at least when it comes to his universe.

Troubadour
While I tend to be very anti fan fiction myself, I will admit this is kind of a cool idea. Not a huge selection of worlds yet to choose from (the only one that really had me interested was G.I. Joe), but I can see that only increasing over time.
