Do you have a Santa figure in your world?

Shreddies

Troubadour
I was reading up on the history of Santa Claus and how he became what he is today, then I got wondering what kind of story would be behind a fantasy realm's Santa Claus.

So, even if he doesn't show up in person or is only mentioned in passing, do you have a Santa (or similar annual gift-giving figure) in your stories?

If so, what does he look like? Is there any interesting story behind him, or is he simply there 'because'? Is he a real person or a myth everyone tries to maintain? Does he only apply to one race, or is he multi-racial?

I'd love to hear what people have done with him.

Personally I'm shooting for a sorcerous pirate santa, just to see if I can make it work. :D

My WIP involving Fae, elves and Vikings makes mention of Odin and Sleipnir giving gifts at Yule, though they don't actually show up in the story. I don't have any original examples of such, though.

I've never really thought on creating fictional holidays. I'd rather create a brand new one than use an actual holiday character in a made up world though.
