I got H.P Lovecraft collection for Christmas, and last month I bought Murderbot Diaries Volume 1 by Martha Wells, which, hasn't arrived yet.

I have an audible subscription, so Buy is a loose term. I just let the credits build up and once in a while I spend some.

I think the last book I bought (other than my own), was Dragon Grammar Book, and the Emotion Thesaurus.

The last audio book was Sword of Kaigen. I am still reading that.

My house is full of books I did not buy, so...there also that. I have access to book I probably would not have bought on my own.

I have reviewed eight or nine books as part of the Authentic review pool this year, plus one I bought for my own enjoyment (The Place of Stars and Bones.)

Authentic titles include - 'A Viral Imperium' and 'A Malignant Fetch' (Dark Fantasy), 'Implanted' (Thriller/SF), 'Dirty Deeds for Beginners,' (mystery), 'Searching for a Way Out' (thriller/SF), 'The Accountants,' (Erotica), 'The Rooster Diaries' (Humor/Animal husbandry), and 'Andromeda's Gift (Paranormal).

Also audible subscription, but the last two books I got on audible were Beyond Redemption and The Teller of Small Fortunes... Very much polar opposites but I loved them both. 😊

Most recent book is Foreigner, by C.J. Cherryh. It is quite a brilliant work and I've been enjoying it tremendously. It's one of those books that makes authors despair.

I've been binging on mid-Twentieth Century British travel writing--Greene, Huxley, both Waughs. It took some guts (and, apparently, plenty of alcohol) to travel to third world countries in those days.

Tripwire, The Sentinel and Make Me by Lee Child.
Game of Thrones (the first six books) by George R R Martin
The Collecters by David Baldacci
Prey by Michael Crichton

Excellent choice to get A Song of Ice and Fire (More commonly known as "A Game of Thrones", but that's the name of the first book and the TV series and not the book series, if you want to go puritan on it).

I hope you enjoy it!

Lost Birds by Anne Hillerman. Still trying to read The Sacred Bridge by her, but she is writing them faster than I can read.
Before that it was Tiffany Aching's Guide to Being a Witch by Rhianna Pratchett & Gabrielle Kent with wonderful illustrations by Paul Kidby.

Siddharta by Hermann Hesse. I wanted to improve my German, and so far it has been a great read. The Leopard by the Prince of Lampedusa is another literary book I bought recently.

Sanderson's Wind and Truth. I was disappointed with it, if I'm completely honest, and don't recommend the series anymore to people looking for a new series to read. :(

Doing a metric f@ckton of homework right now, between getting deeper into the Books of Binding and the development work on our next series, so right now the top of the TBR looks a bit like a come-as-you-are. Reading two projects for two different guys, Everyday Aspergers by Samantha Craft, Worldbuilding for Fantasy Fans and Authors by M. D. Presley, Emily Post's Etiquette with Illustrations Complete and Unabridged, Tokyo Vice by Jake Adelstein, The Lord of the Rings Illustrated because it was $1.99 on Kindle and I'm just that sexy, and the 10th of the Writers Helping Writers Series.

And that was last week. Sales and planning ahead are your friends.

Actually bought some physical books for the first time in a long time. Decided that I wanted some physical copies of some of my favourite books, so I bought myself The Farseer Trilogy (I already had a physical copy, but two of the books were falling to pieces.) The first two books of The Kingkiller Chronicle (Along with The Slow Regard of Silent Things) And the first trilogy in the First Law series. 😊

Nice haul! Physical books just hit different, especially when it’s favourites like Farseer and Kingkiller. Plus, First Law is a killer choice, grimdark at its finest. Enjoy the feel of actual pages.

I'd say they are probably my top three favourite series. Do you have any suggestions to add to that list? You have good taste! 😁
