I used to not care about killing off characters, especially if I knew from the start that they were going to die. Heck, one of the first people to get killed in my oldest work in progress is a little kid, and even though it's supposed to be sad, i didn't and still don't feel that bad about it...

Thanks for the ideas! I had played around with some Latin words before, but hadn't settled on one yet. The Latin word for "snow" is nix, and I thought about nixie, but not sure if I like that since it's so close to pixie.
