I think this is a grand idea! All this week and last week I didn't want to write, but heck yes! I'm only 200 away from my 100k mark! Finally 2/3rds done with my book! I am awesome and will celebrate when I reach 100k with Reese's Pieces.
Ah that's all right, I tend not to check MS too often. OH I know this song! I haven't heard this in forever!
"So needless to say, I'm odds and ends, but that's me stumbling away. Slowly learning that life is okay. Say after me, it's no better to be safe than sorry."
I think that in fiction, women always want to get married, so the part where they all of a sudden change their minds is what makes the story interesting. As I understand it, the guy never really wants to get married, so the challenge is to get him to go to the alter. She wants to get married...
Actually, as boring as it is, I'd probably take the Bible. Not only is it a colossal read, but every time I read it, something is new and my understanding changes. If I was stuck with one book for the rest of my life, I'd really like one that would always be different with every read.
I'd hope...
Cute dog!
At the moment, I'm stuck with writer's block, trying to think up some story ideas, and eyeing the last glass of cold green tea latte waiting for me in the fridge.. Mmmmmm
I do the same thing as Cirias. I picture the characters in my head first. I usually don't go looking for a picture to attach my character to, because if I did, it would make me feel like I depended on someone's picture in order to actualy create my character. I wouldn't be able to feel like that...
"When I was just a baby, my momma told me "Son, always be a good boy. Don't ever play with guns." But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die. When I hear that whistle blowin, I hang my head and cry." WHOO Johnny Cash! <3
This is pretty amazing. I had no idea how these sort of books were printed or put together. Thanks for sharing! And oh yes, someday it'll be hardcover for me!
Oh pooh. I really should dedicate myself to critiquing some of the stories up in Showcase just to give some measure of feedback, though I'm not really good at such things. My excuse is that I feel like I'm swamped with things to do (but that's probably just me being unorganized). I'll try to...
"Coo-coo-cachoo, Mrs. Robinson, Jesus loves you more than you will know. Wo-wo-wo! God bless you, please, Mrs. Robinson, heaven holds a place for those who pray, hey, hey, hey."
Simon and Garfunkel for the win!
Okay, I'm from Minnesota, so I can help with the tick bit.
Usually, if you're not in any knee high brush really, you can expect to get a couple on your legs after a while outdoors. So it's not usually that bad. However, one time, my family went out into the woods/grassland far from paved roads...
Huh! I never heard of that one....
What about "Celia, you're breaking my heart, your shaking my confidence daily. Oh Cecilia, I'm down on my knees, I'm begging you please to come home."
