Hey guys,
I have a problem.
I started my draft on a novel idea that I've wanted to write for a long time and I just stopped in the middle of it and read what I had and found it incredibly boring.
So have you ever stopped in the middle of your drafts and thought that what you had was...
My current work fits in with mythic, heroic, paranormal, comic, epic/high, and sword and sorcery... although he isn't a warrior, he's going to become a pirate... I hope that fits in there? Mine is going to be like steam-punk, but I'm going to use another element, so ima create my own genre...
So I've scrapped everything I've been working on because it frustrated me to no end (Couldn't get anywhere because of writer's block.) and I've decided to work on something new. My new project is about a boy who absolute sucks at playing the violin...my problem is... how the hell do I put music...
I've tried looking for this information everywhere and I can't find it! It's frustrating. So I came here with some questions about Shoguns.
At the moment, I am trying to write a novel about revenge, murder, and betrayal. It all centers around two boys who happen to heirs to the Shogunate...
I was actually thinking of him getting hit by a car and getting amnesia >_> but now that I think about it... I don't really know if my character needs to have it... Thanks guys.
Okay, so I'm thinking of writing my next novel in first person, but my main character is suffering from amnesia so I was wondering how I would go about doing that? It seems a bit tricky and I've been trying to think of ways to do it, but I always fail. So can you guys give me any tips?
