I have been working on a fantasy saga for about four or five years now. At this stage I have plans for a trilogy in third person and two stand alone first person novellas in the same world. I am a character orientated writer so it took me a while to develop my world and I still have a lot of work to do in that aspect. I have a strong plan for the first novel and I am about a half way through a first draft. My world is modern day and moves towards sci fi as the books progress, I have magic and 'gods' in play but not many mythical creatures. For me writing began with characters and I simply enjoy spending time with them and discovering their stories. I want to do well by them - I suppose I feel I owe them that. This is my first time using a forum, I do not know any other writers and I am hoping to find some support here and give back whatever I can.
