Well I maintain they are not a 'bad' read, but the second series that follows on from the story is certainly better than the first.

    Where do readers find books?

the first point is one that would kind of feel dis-ingenuous and would do a dis-service to the book store, I wouldn't feel bad about doing it in the local library however! The second point is a good one however and I will look into that before I buy my next book! (though I would still prefer to...

    Where do readers find books?

general I am very lazy - I just search on amazon in the kindle section. Occasionally I will flick through the reccomendations they supply. I used to go visit the book store and browse the shelves but since moving over to electronic format I haven't done that for a long while. For the record...

SPOILERS: GRRM's "A Song of Ice and Fire"

I hate these books, struggled to get through book one and then got to the beginning of book four (I think??) to find that half the characters had been killed off with no explanation, I thought I had missed a book! refused to read any further and won't ever watch the TV adaptation.

    6. Piers Anthony Discussion

The early Xanth books were great at the time, having re-visited them as an older reader I find them to actually be quite weak and lazy. I tried some of his other efforts and found them difficult to read and overbearingly constructed and heavy handed in the delivery. Simon

    How..

do you introduce yourself to a forum full of writers? Gushingly eloquent, overflowing with purple prose (I have been reading already), annoyingly casual in a 'sup homies kind of way to imply an overbearing sense of confidence and belonging? Would devastating charm work on what is quite...
