    Mistborn initial impressions

I just finished the first book. I enjoyed it but I am surprised at the level of praise it gets in this thread. I found it slow to get going and without giving away spoilers, I was a little frustrated at part of the climax. The books has a very original feel to it although I found myself...

Wow, high praise from all. I have the first book waiting on my eReader. Looks like I will have to get on and read it now.

Do you prefer the original version of Stephen King's 'The Gunslinger' or the rewrite?

I read on my phone, which is a Nokia N8. Although the screen is much smaller than a tablet, I find that it is a very comfortable experience. One of the features I really like is the ability to invert the text so that you have white text on black background. This allows you to read at night with...

    Questions on publishing my story

You can certainly post some of your work here in the forum and then publish later. That is what many writers do. It allows them to get feedback and help them to improve. The ebook industry is new and the format is allowing authors to work in new ways, in addition to the traditional publishing...

    Long endeavours

I have been trying to start Frank Herbert's Dune for many years. There always seems to be another book I want to read first. I don't know why I have this blockage.
