Of course. I was just under the impression that the criticism was too vague and not justifiable; I've experienced cases where someone would criticize my work without actually giving reasonable points/flaws and is simply there just to find a reason to dislike the idea while being close-minded...

Not really important in the plot; I mean, naturally you'll see common instances where the reader understands the world bit by bit because of a particular occurrence, but that's it. As of now, the mysteries of how this world is because of something isn't of importance to the plot.
