    The Kingmaker Cover Art

That is strange. Since I changed the cover to this, sales have gone up by 50%. I agree about the blank space, I'm pondering on what to put in it. Or if I should just make the text larger.

    The Kingmaker blog update

Just an update on my end, it's been a while since I've posted here and I thought I'd visit the place again. I've been on the KDP forums lately and unable to get on this while at work. The book has done well and seems to be doing well, it managed to reach #18 in the kindle genre of Norse & Viking...

Did you have time to read over the rest of the chapter?

    The Kingmaker blog update

Hi Brian, First off, thanks for your help on the subject. I can understand your concerns on what you've read and--more than anything-- it's made me realise how behind I am on updating my blog. That last update was edited by an editor on GoodReads, she sent me a copy of what she thought were...

How to find an audience without publishing a book

I know a lot of people don't have the time to market their books, or even think about doing a blog. For me, I find it helps me continue to write when I can't stay in my own world any longer. I find it fun to engage with other writers and readers on places like GoodReads and Twitter. I've met...

    The Kingmaker blog update

Hey guys and gals, It's been an intense week for me and I just thought I'd share my latest blog post with you all. The final edit is nearly done and I've spent the last few days doing ten chapters in 3 hours. That's including having a day job. God my brain hurts! The Kingmaker: Edit...

    Nations in your world

It seems at the moment my story is split between two countries. There will more than likely be a third one that will come up later. For now there's these guys. Country of Vikinsa Split into Five Kingdoms Halerock - Also known as the Lion Kingdom, ruled by the Beast King. This place also hold...

    High Fantasy Creatures/Races

Very cool idea. I like where you're going with that! It's a sort of play, it's High Germanic for 'Lion Heart.' I take a lot of words for my races/creatures/weapons/assassins/characters from words in High Germanic and Old Norse.

    High Fantasy Creatures/Races

Hey everyone, I just wanted to get everyone's opinion and input about their novels, mainly their creatures and races within. For instance, I've strayed from the path of 'normal' High Fantasy and have no Elves, Orcs, Goblins, Mages, Wizards, Dwarves, etc. Instead, I've made a few of my own. I...

How to find an audience without publishing a book

I didn't mean give them my endorsement, just use my blog as a platform for them to connect to other people. It's hard to find a place that has anything for soon-to-be authors, generating an audience before hand is tough. It doesn't have to be huge, just a general "if you like this, my book might...

    Chapter Length

Mine is around the 1600-2000 mark, though depending on what's happening, it can easily go over 3000. I try not to write long chapters or have too much description. A leave most of it to the imagination of the reader.

How to find an audience without publishing a book

I'm thinking of using my blog to showcase new and upcoming authors. People to get excited about, it might be an idea.

Thank you Gryphos! We'll see if it catches the eye of readers when it's released.

Scrivener Software: to use or not?

I can see how that would be annoying. I'm working on a ten year old laptop, so I can't say anything really.
