    Art advice for a beginner?

I always like the idea of the cover representing something deep within the book rather than a picture at the front of it being the hero or what have you. I love it when your reading a book and then close it to realize that's, hey that what that is. But each to their own i suppose, have fun...

    Terry Pratchett

That is the reply i was hoping for haha! yea, I'm really into the Discworld series at the moment, although i am only on the second book. I cannot wait to read more and more. The ending of the 1st book was hilarious, telling the demon in place of Death to "piss off". i was taking a while to get...

i know I'm going to get some stick for this, but i have just finished reading The Colour of Magic, and am straight onto the Light Fantastic, both hilarious and extra ordinary these books are. Have any of you guys/gals read his works, if so whats you favourites? Just a small fun thread for...

    Are vampires too cliche?

Thats cool actually, i can dig that. Its just when an old ancient creature is given a ridiculous name like what i said before, its cringeworthy. I mean i see exactly where and what you mean by using a term of blood-drinker, that'd be awesome because its set in an older time. I like!

    Are vampires too cliche?

Know what i cant stand in books and movies, that fact that the person writing it is afraid of calling it what it is, for example, Walking dead call their zombies walkers, thats fine, sounds cool and all, but i mean come on! If a vampire is a vampire, lets call it a vampire, not a fanger, or a...

    Kingdom Come?

So I've been deeply sucked into the book I'm writing at the moment, I'm around 50 - 60 pages in but I'm beginning to think that the world they are situated in sounds a little daft or basic, and them other times i feel it sounds solid and epic. Its just called Kingdom. Does it sound too generic?

    How many is to many?

I am writing my first novel, I'm only having 3 main characters in it. But look at all those novels out there, bloody mental amounts of characters in some of them. go for it.
