World-building questions about an island chain in the southern Indian Ocean

I think with the islands being there, Austronesian folk might reach them easier than they did Madagascar, and maybe earlier. RE: African migration, in realistic terms, it is less probable. Most tribes were landlocked and migrated within the continent(what with Africa having so few small islands...

World-building questions about an island chain in the southern Indian Ocean

Potential for unique biology depending on geological history... think lemurs in Madagascar meet marsupials in Aus(Sorta... Probably marsupials instead of lemur-like beings). Maybe throw in giant birds and lizards, also dodos(cos they tasty.) I'd wager the biomes at these latitudes would be...

    Tinkering Around...

I like the Van-Goghish linework, gives it that oily ethereal feel. If the bottom text is smaller with the skull and crossbones shifted off-center it might be more impactful. sorta impression I'm getting is staring at someone's knees, the shoulders feel like a more natural focal point. idk...

yeah I figured my post was vague some time after posting, you're on the dot. more of a personal thought experiment, trying to think up a story of someone strolling through an alien world, a type of garden or forest where their observation is the story... an adventurous person might touch flowers...

Which of these worlds' climates sounds like it'd provide the more interesting setting?

If the conflict ain't interesting, I'd rather read a peaceful work set in a surreal world, where the conflict is expressed via the sheer alieness of that reality when compared to our own. Rather read that than a family drama with lotsa conflict set on contemporary Earth. To each their own, I guess.

Which of these worlds' climates sounds like it'd provide the more interesting setting?

I'm going for World A simply because I've speculated what sorta trade systems/politics would exist in a world which is very narrow, whether in another dimension or one ringed on all sides by impassable wastes/mountains. You have offered a more natural way for such a thing to occur, and having...

    Lie and Liars

Makes sense, one of the many reasons a ruler would tend to expand and maintain their own network of spies rather than trusting all covert matters of the realm to a magi, or a cabal of them. Magical detection would still play a role, but diversification is always a good bet regardless of whether...
