After many years of struggling with that real-life nonsense, I have decided to get serious about my writing again.

I have written three novels -- well, two novels and a third that might be a novel depending on how you squint your eyes -- as well as a role-playing game that actually got published in France (it didn't sell much, but it did pay off my student loans).

After a mercifully brief exile out in the real world, I am now back working at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where I have been (except for that mercifully brief exile) for the past 20 years. I am an "information specialist," which means I write, design for print and Web, take photos, whatever is needed.

I live with my wife, Stephanie, her son, Josh, and have been given the great privilege of being allowed to cater to whims of our cat, Cooper.
