I like it. My own world is inhabited by normal looking animals. Though I'm getting tempted by the thoughts of a dragon. Maybe slipping in a fantastical creature after convincing everyone it's pretty normal could be interesting?

Last night I watched Dream Works "How to Train Your Dragon". I was amazed at their unique portrayal. From making them swarming creatures, to giving the main dragon cat-like characteristics to make it more sympathetic. It was so good!

I was at my most active last year, when I had to wait in a Tim Horton's for an hour and a half before school. Ideas just flowed from there.

Happy birthday then! I'm 20 and I don't feel any different than I did as far back as 16. Only real difference is bills to pay.

My characters were made first, strangely. Compared to them and the plot my world is fairly new. What sparks my ideas though? It's weird. Usually sitting alone waiting, or riding the bus home causes everything to just fill in.

In my world there's a type of energy that gives rise to elemental powers, better physique, and intellect. Animals with access to this energy will be filling the role of monsters. Though I think it would be cool to take an already powerful and magical creature like a dragon, and give it this energy.

I was going to do something similar, though joined by land. One of my kingdoms had the worlds only metal supply within their borders.

My major antagonists usually want to further mankind or their own positions, with little care to how civilized the path may be, much like many of our world's historical dictators (Mao, Stalin, etc.). I would by no means call an actual person "evil", but simply disagreeing would make them...

I had a typical older mentor archetype who dies, so I changed some things to make it my own. I made him a half breed of my own made up race and gave him "daddy issues" with his much older, demonic, father.

I had named mine Millenis. Latin for thousand. That number is a recurring theme I throw around. I usually find anything that ends in "s" really cheesy and cliche, but I stuck with it due to lack of anything else. It slowly grew pn me.
