Good Luck!!!
This is a very helpful thread; I wish I had found it sooner. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to post this, Michael, I will certainly try to put your advice to use in the coming weeks and months.
I thought the day would never come, but I have finally published my debut fantasy novel. The Kindle edition of The Exercise Of Vital Powers is now available to purchase from Amazon, with a planned paperback edition to follow in the summer. I intend to have the book available to buy on other...
Be Honest: Why are you Really Not Published Yet?
Honestly, it boils down to just two things...
I only decided at the start of 2014 to take my writing beyond being just a hobby.
(Until very recently) my perfectionism always prevented me from completing a full length novel...
I hate "The Love Triangle" with a burning passion. Specifically, I hate the triangle which is based around a female protagonist "torn" between to male characters (in reality leading them both on). The most egregious aspect of this trope is that one of the suitors is always a so-called "Bad Boy"...

Oh, yeah. Worrying about my inability to reach 5k words even once has certainly...
First of all, apologies if this question has been asked previously (I did two or three searches and nothing especially relevant came up).
I'm assuming that few if any of the members of the forum are full-time writers, so I was curious to know if anyone else sets daily word count goals for...
Very Helpful Thread
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread; you've helped me a great deal with my current WIP. Not to mention I don't need to start a new thread asking questions that have been answered here. :)
