I believe this is why we are only seeing groups of characters per episode. The first episode had everyone because they needed to recap everyones position. But in the last two episodes we see storylines and characters dropping in and out. This worked well last season and helped the show develop...
I never thought about it this way, good point.
Since they haven't been cast, I would assume we will see them next season (I Hope).
I sure hope not.
I loved this seen. I think the black void was an attempt at cinematography. To show that Theon is truly alone and lost between the...
I keep trying to put myself in the shoes of someone who hasn't read the story. I am curious how they feel and I wonder if its similar to the way I felt when I read it since the essence of the story hasn't changed.
In no particular order...

The Dragonlance Chronicles is a annual reread for me. There is an innocence to those books for me that still carries over after 10 or so rereads.
I have also reread bits and parts of The Dresden Files. It's such a fun series to reread.
The other book I reread once every couple of years...
We did lose something with the way this scene broke down. In the book they escape and carry Lommy before finally getting captured. Nathan mentions it in this thread, the escape and subsequent capture really brings you a sense for foreboding and then peril.
I think you will be pleasantly...
It is a ashame the lady that played Old Nan died. I would have liked her character to be in season two, she like the Reeds add more depth to Bran's story.
The way Martin explained it. He liked to introduce magical elements like boiling a lobster, its a slow process that builds as the water...
Yoren, oh Yoren how short our time with you was....
Where to begin with this recap. The variations from the book are coming hot and heavy now thankfully the overall essence of the story remains intact. Some of the things occurring are going to become increasingly difficult to discuss as...
Some of it unneeded IMO. The three sex scenes in a row were irritating. Theon's was directly from the book and fine. The brothel wasn't needed and I would have preferred Stannis's to be much more subtle.
So some of my sentences may seem incomplete. It appears that I cannot properly use the spoiler tag. I apologize and will look to remedy this next time.
I was running about 30 minutes behind live TV and about 20 minutes through the episode I was thinking "they are doing a really good job sticking to the book". At around the same time Nathan Lauffer sent me a message saying "Wow this episode really deviated from the book". So here I am halfway...
It does in the context of Cersei's & Joffrey's character development, something I am not sure if the show will dive to deep into. Your right Joffrey is an evil bastard, but without saying to much Cersei is much more... complex.
<This post may contain light spoilers from the second book, but nothing that would impact future viewing or future reading of the series>
Several things occurred to me as I watched the second episode. First, I was slightly annoyed that Maester Cressen's death scene occurred after the burning...
