That is very helpful. Thank you.
How embarrassing.
Let's wave that magic wand again and see if the spell works this time!

Fellow Scribes!
Let me holler from the hills,
Let me whisper into frills;
Let me gather you together,
Let me raise up magic weather!
And let us toil once more in ink,
Let us grab the foil and think
Of how best to grapple and grip
The words that always need to slip!

This is the first Kickstarter project I've ever backed. It's a really cool concept and it has 8 days left to go to reach its crowdfunding goal.

Recently I've been listening to The Social Network Soundtrack to jive with Trent Reznor, as well as The Broken Bells, whose music videos feature the ill-fated Anton Yelchin (R.I.P.) as well as Moderat and Emancipator.
The Neverending Story is the story of a neverending cycle of bullying.
Bastian is a “fat, useless, cowardly” boy of ten who is unfortunately granted near-omnipotence when he enters Fantastica. Instantly, he begins to go mad with power, moved by his lust for certain things which...
I had someone buy me a used copy when I was 17 and on the road. He said "If you like Fantasy, you gotta read this!"
LeGuin is an amazing writer. I just finished reading a great essay she penned on writing, included in a collection entitled The Wave in the Mind. She compares the writer to a...
I just finished reading The Silver Chair for the first time and whipped up a brief review. Thought I'd share it here. I wouldn't say there are spoilers necessarily, but it probably makes more sense if you've actually read the novel.

I stopped posting parts of my WIP a few yeas back. I'm currently preparing to launch a Kickstarter campaign by the end of the summer, and it occurred to me that restarting the blog might be a good way to drum up...

I have a blog I started a while back where I was posting serially a time travel story - but there is a small amount of adult content (a few sex scenes or references) and I'm wondering why this is not appropriate for this forum and where I can promote it otherwise?
I've had good experiences with Lulu and would recommend them. Make sure your formatting is solid before uploading. I looked up some YouTube tutorials. The only thing I was a little disappointed was that my cover art - which is vibrant on my monitor - was a bit flat in print.

Yes it's been a long time since I've come to MS. Life has been pretty chaotic for a while - but I'm still writing!
Don't get too muddled Ireth and trust your story-teller's instincts. It doesn't sound to me like you have too much of an issue with your MC being too passive.
