I'm a happy childfree housewife who loves kids but can't stand humans. Camping and hiking are my life; if I wanted to, I have the skills to live completely off-grid. So I wander through the central US, searching for the perfect plot of land.

Knowledge is my guilty pleasure. There is nothing I won't study, no subject that doesn't interest me. I'll dabble in almost any art or craft. Lye, vinegar, soap, toothpaste, cordage, adhesive tape, pottery, generators, water distillers....I can make it all.

So of course I also write fiction. I never ever plan to publish, but writing is a great mental exercise. My mind is full of stories. Especially a very dark twisted flavor of science-fantasy, with a lot of gritty realistic survival scenes and trippy philosophical Mushroom Sambas.

I also have a witch doctor Florence Nightingale hurt/comfort-type fetish. Yes it shows in my writing, so no need to point it out. But at least I have the medical experience to write injury/illness scenes realistically.
