I think the press conference would be a great idea! I'm sure you can deliver a really good hook and do it without info dumping. Just keep it as short intro or lead into the beginning paragraph.

Subterranean gardens/livestock?

Hello T and welcome!

I usually drink light teas when I smoke to savor the tobacco and prevent tongue bite. Oolong, Jasmine or Earl Grey otherwise.

Tobacco pipe with a cup of tea. Quick couple of push-ups/sit-ups to get the blood flowing. I will listen to some upbeat music, but sometimes it alters the mood I'm trying to capture in my stories. Snacks always do me good!
