Born and raised in NYC, I learned to read from comic books and eventually discovered fantasy-adventure novels and movies. Deeply curious about the complexities of life, I majored in Philosophy at Columbia University. When my philosophy degree failed to answer my most pressing concerns, I landed a job in publishing. For a while, being an entertainment editor for a major publishing house was fulfilling and fun. Soon, however, I needed a change. Now, I'm a sixth grade public middle school teacher, and I get to delve into the deepest questions of life, have fun and prepare my students for a future I was wholly unprepared for at their age. Writing is my passion; I also love to act, read classic literature, play pool, engage in meaningful discussions that expand my mind and help me learn and grow, and enjoy every day with my beautiful wife and child.
