My world is populated with a huge variety of non humans. The major races are,
1) Humans
2) Elves
3) Dwarves
4) Mer
5) Nagas
6) Aves
7) Centaurs
8) Dracolytes
9) Orcs

I only focus on a FEW as some of my main characters have non human parentage/ancestry, and the rest I introduce...
So in theory you need to telekinetically push at the air to block the fire? I see... fascinating.
Also using this theory, a fire shield can "block" a bolt of lightning then, using the same principles to diffuse the heat right?
I've been trying to craft as "realistic" battles as much as possible between my protagonists and antagonists, incorporating as much real life physics/chemistry when possible. However I am very stumped by the concept of shields.
Example in theory, my psychic is blocking an earth mage with his...
I did thought of naming the chapters after the POV of that character as I cycle 5 main POVs. Hahhaha Im just tempted by every idea and thus undecided on what is the best.
Can I ask for example for you, if your chapter is named Red Sky, how did you decide on it? Does it come about because its...
Hello! As the title of this thread says, how do you guys name your chapters?
Do you simply title them as Chapter 1, 2, 3 and so forth? Or do you summarise the particular chapter into 1 or 4 more words(or even longer)?
Initially I just numbered the chapters, but then I thought to give readers...

I am basing my pantheon of nine gods with them representing aspects of human/mortal...
I have a basic idea of the ending, and a basic structure of how to arrive there. But I tend to let my characters and plot develop organically as I progress. Especially my characters who might deviate from what I initially had planned for them cos it either just doesnt make sense or the...
In my world, the first generation of the gods are physical manifestations of the world. Sun, moon, sky, night, earth, and also abstract forces like creativity, desire, torment.
After a huge war between them, they depart the earthly realm, but not before giving rise to a pantheon of deities who...
Thanks for the tips and advises. I've thus employed several of your tactics to try to differentiate the past and present flow of time. It's harder than just plain old italics but it's more fun creatively!
