    How do you describe characters?

Yes! This is what I was trying to say, this is what I do!

    How do you describe characters?

With me it depends on the character, if my main pov character meets a new character and she's really taking notice of them for one reason or another to do with the story I am generally a but blunt as well as adding what she thinks of one feature of another. My secondary character who I tell...

I want to do a Fantasy But Have No Story

My personal thought is that if you have a character story you want to tell you could place it in any world. Maybe develop a character you're passionate about, but don't pigeon hole them by what world they're from, then if you have the urge set them in a fantasy setting. If you like fantasy just...

Skyrim - tell us about your character

I'm still on my first play through. (spoilers if you have not completed the main quest) My character is Aerona, redguard who used a varied selection of one handed weapons until I settled on l ebony swords, mostly dual wielded until I need a healing spell in one hand. She also uses the bow...

Do you use your original creature or creatures from existing mythology?

I like the sound of that, really delving into them a actual sentient beings instead of good guys bad guys black and white. That type of thing keeps my interest.

    What Are You Playing Now?

Always playing Skyrim, that game just never ends. Pottering my way through Tomb Raider anniversary but after the latest TR my standards have gone up I think. Recently bought Assassin's Creed 2 as it was all I could afford and it was rated no1 AC game in a load of videos.... and I want to see...

Do you use your original creature or creatures from existing mythology?

I generally don't mind the run of the mill elves, orcs etc, but sometimes when elves always seem elegant and imperious and orcs rough and mean I get a little frustrated. Reading about a race/being I've never encountered before really gets me excited. I love mythological creatures and...

    Healing in Ancient times

@TheCatholicCrow @X Equestris @valiant12 thank you all for your help and the Links. @Penpilot yes, I've been thinking that too and some wounds so far have been healed in a unique way but part of me wants to use stuff familiar to us. Thank you for your advice. All is greatly appreciated!

    Healing in Ancient times

The story I am writing is based in a "Ancient times " type fantasy world. Lately I have had a lot of wounded characters and would greatly appreciate if anyone has any knowledge in healing from ancient times. For example how to heal an arrow wound to the shoulder and/or a sword wound to...

    Are orcs over used?

I think orcs can be over used especially if they are the MAIN foe in a story as in my opinion that had already been done in LOTR. If they are used sparingly i think they can be effective.

How do you make fantasy animals

I for my writing tend to mix a certain real world animal with different animals parts from mythological and real animals and like the others have said relate it to its natural habitat. One example of mine is a jaguar with wings, the species is called Panthara, so the habitat is a massive jungle...
