Previously, a full-time sculptor and art teacher for a little tourist trap. Four years of art college for only five years in the field. Aside from some tasty existential crisis, it was a pretty useless degree.

But! Glad I've done it. Glad I'm past it. I've taken the general creativity and ran.

The visual arts never really got me to a place where I felt like I was saying what I wanted to say. Thus I have returned to writing.

Writing and reading, my misty hobbies, were with me before everything else. And yet somehow, for years, I ignored the call. My skills do not yet match my taste. So, here I am to find my voice, put in the hard work, and discuss.

I am moved by atmosphere and oddity.

I want to talk about identity, absolute weirdos, creatures, animism, reality (or not). Ancient mysteries. Armchair philosophy.

I’m heavily inspired by poetry, history, science, alternative music (dream pop, new wave, jazz fusion, etc.), the Zelda franchise, writers like Diana Wynne Jones, and an occasional manga/anime.
