A Hello Full of Mixed Emotions

And finally - after months of contemplation, she gathered all her courage and signed up for one of the writing forums she had read so much about. A mix of emotions brooding inside her - excited and scared at the same time. Excited, that she had finally taken steps that would eventually - at least that's what she hoped - bring her closer to fulfilling her wildest dreams. Scared, that she might realise that she wasn't good enough to reach them.

With that being said, I'm excited to get to know you all, read your lovely stories and writings, discuss everything about fantasy with you and learn from each other!
Btw: anyone else felt the same when signing up here?

For me, at some point in 2012 I saw an ad go scrolling by on FB. Very first ad I'd ever clicked, and it brought me here. My wife and I met our writing partner here, as well as our alpha reader and a couple of our betas. I'd already been an ardent gamer for years, so talking to strangers from behind pixels was old hat. I'd also been a staffing recruiter and worked with strippers, basically the same industry. I sold people. Some for more than others. Only one ever got me attention from the FBI, and even that wasn't my first suit-clad rodeo.
