Hello. I am a person that has been carrying an evolving world in my head. I hope that it is a place that others can find interesting as well.

It is a world that is like our earth but just off. The beginning of the difference in this world came before humans became sentient. As humans survived sabertooth tigers a different dimension just off the perception of people, The Veil, existed in parallel. There is a small being called a Soul that is the primary prey animal in The Veil. At some point Soul was able to cross into this world. As The Veil is primarily emotion energy based the Soul sought a host to survive this dimension. The Soul find that humans are perfect to sustain them. And in return for hosting the Soul, humans gain intelligence and consciousness.
That is the base of the world. Humans must now deal with other denizens of The Veil crossing over to hunt the Soul. These denizens having to take on hosts themselves. Creating creatures akin to unicorns and dragons as their energies are more powerful as predators.
There is so much more that spans eras in my head. Thank you to anyone who wants to know more.

The Soul is a type of creature in The Veil. So they would be like rabbits in this world. And that is very much why they chose humans. They could see how pliable their minds were.
