Pretty Notebooks

My wife got me these lovely little composition notebooks a couple of months ago, and suddenly I know what they're for! Meet our next three projects in development.

I have a bunch of lovely notebooks which I would love to use for something. I just don't really have any use for them. I'm a computer first kind of person. All my notes end up on there. I really should find something to take notes about just to be able to use them.

I'm a writer, so I get writer gifts. Qin Qin (a Chinese friend) gave me a fountain pen, which I used for a while, then gave up on. When I retired my friends at work bought me a nice Waterman pen, and a bound book to write stuff in. I rarely use either of these items

I have a ton of stuff I would like to find a use for or get rid of. I do use a bunch of tiny notebooks (stenopads) to keep myself organized at work, but for writing, I just keep it in my head, and sometimes pretend like it matters if I write it into Scrivener.

Was there a pic attached to this?

I was given a very nice notebook at work, and its just collecting dust now. Truth is, my handwriting is so bad, notebooks are kind of pretend note taking for me. More of a place to write out my To-Do's.

I have acres of notebooks, going back to the early 1970s. I keep them in order to curse my children with them.

My current favorite notebooks are Septcouleur. The paper is good quality and holds anything from a ball point to a fountain pen without bleeding (though I have to be careful with gel pens). The binding is spiral so the notebook lays flat and will fold back nicely. The cover is translucent and the first page is blank, so I can write my own identifying information and see it without needing to flip open the notebook. They come in different sizes, requiring me to keep trying to remember if A5 is bigger or smaller than B4 (but not before). They come in different colors. How many colors is left as an exercise for the student.

Yes, and it's really cute, and the forums hate me. I'm still trying to figure out why it's not letting me post pics.

Sorry, brain only engaged just now. This is one of my pretty little composition books. There are three and they got names: The Rake, The Gambler, and The Goblin Queen: A Labyrinth Story. No, that's not official. It's mostly just for me and for whoever else wants to enjoy it. And this is my brain on an idea...

10 years on, Sarah is a Public Defender and still filled with determination. But her life isn't what she may have hoped for.

"Sarah never went home through the park, especially in the rain. The scent of wet grass still brought the manic giggles of goblins to her ears and the soft silence of an owl's wings in the night. A scent, spice and wickedness, during a dance surrounded by courtiers, all attention on him and on her, and the delicacy and the heat of his hand on her back, two fingertips brushing her bare skin just above the edge of her glittering gown.

You have no power over me.
It reminded her of all she'd lost, and that hurt so much."

The goblins come to get her and beg her to come back because Jareth has been taken and they need his queen to get him back. But, I'm not his queen. Don't be stupid, Sarah, you were always his queen.

Sarah: No.
Jareth: No? Why no?
Sarah: No, you don't get to come up to me all hot tights and wicked smiles. You haven't earned it.
Jareth: *pleased and challenged* You have indeed grown.
Sarah: Seventeen was a very long time ago.

And then my brain engages and those bits are probably going to be a book.

Nice Bowie reference/segue, I have tonnes of notebooks full to the brim of random words from my dictionary/thesaurus.
