Reading Report to Greco, Nikos Kazantzakis (best known for Zorba the Greek). It's his memoirs, more or less. By the way, if you haven't read Zorba the Greek, do so. Or at least see the old movie.

This is fascinating. He tells how he started writing, you see where some of the famous quotes originated. And he's a good storyteller, so over all interesting

Re-reading Sometimes a Great Notion, by Ken Kesey. Read it once in my youth. The physical book disappeared long ago, so I bought an ebook of it. The narrative is so good. Reading it is a bit like going over a waterfall. A big one.

Having lived much of my youth in the Pacific Northwest, his descriptions are a delight to read. And the family drama is on a par with East of Eden or The Brothers Karamazov.
