Hello! Working on a story in which all fictional universes are real

Hi, everyone!

I'm Newman Hyacinth. I'm writing Essea Kingdom, a story in which all fictional universes are real and accepting your true self gives you powers.

Epsil, the main character, lives a normal life in the US until the Essea Event, which connects his world to those of universes previously thought fictional, and also awakens the powers of many people in the world. After this, he establishes a group called the Kingdom of Souls dedicated to using these new powers to make everyone's lives as good as possible, and to defeat void, which is evil, and seeks to corrupt everyone's souls.

I've always loved stories, and fantasy, and the idea of going to other worlds where certain things are better and we can be better. My core motivation with this project is to activate that fantasy as much as I can. In Essea, we can all be heroes, go to the worlds we love most, and have amazing adventures in them. And this isn't some ignoble escapism; on the contrary, my goal is to show how beautiful virtue is and to show how happy people become when they are virtuous.

Essea Kingdom is a particular story in the Essea Theory, but a virtual infinity of stories could exist within this system. I'm writing my story not just for its own sake, but also as an example of what being a "creationary" (a person who has awakened to their innate power to create and wield physical reality) looks like. I hope it inspires others to imagine their own wonderful adventures!

I tried to write several different novels in this Essea Theory (or one of its nascent versions) over the course of multiple years, but, frustratingly, the project always became too hard to manage. So now, I have switched to releasing a story one chapter at a time, and I have finally managed to create something presentable! The first two chapters of Essea Kingdom are available on my Substack. Essea Kingdom: Episode 1 I plan to write many more. I also want to branch out to other media like video games, art, music, etc.

The Essea Theory has much more to it (like soulverses, the possible structure of the omniverse, what "essea" is, etc.). If anyone's interested, I'd love to provide more details! I just didn't want to make my very first post too cumbersome, haha.

Welcome here, Newman.
I like the idea of ordinary people creating new worlds by/from their fantasy imaginings. Does that effectively make them creators gods in those worlds? I love the idea of the gods of a world being ordinary folk, with no greater wisdom to call on, when the inhabitants of the fantasy worlds look to them for answers to everything from droughts, to disease, to morality. That could be really interesting, and something I would love to read.

Hi, thank you for welcoming me!
Yes, in some way, I think what you're describing would happen in the Essea Theory. I've definitely thought about it. Honestly, I've gone back and forth on how exactly it would work. My current idea is that when a person creates a world, they basically get to decide how everything in the timeline happens from outside it, just like how authors get to design an entire sequence of events in any order. But then, if you go to that world, you're in the flow of time there, and you'd only be able to affect things within that constraint, like the characters who live there normally. So maybe there would be a dichotomy, where you can either interact with a world in an author-like way or in a direct-participation way.
I'm definitely still trying to figure out the details, but it's something I will for sure explore in Essea Kingdom!
