Amateur Creative Writing

Rexenm

In school, we used to have a segment or class, set aside for creative writing. I eventually grabbed a folder, from the office shop, and never looked back. Though, my mother keeps a memory box, and looking through it, I found my first ever two stories. There were two of them.

I like olives and cheese.

-and-

I like olives and ice cream.

Cryptic, I suppose, but my daughter is going through a creative writing stage, and I wonder if you have any stories you’d like to share, from your past.

I think the lesson is, you like olives.

I remember my first effort at a story. I had in my head a vision of like 200 pages, but when I wrote it all out, it was only a page and an half. :dead:

Somewhere along the line I got longer winded.

I had quite mature tastes for a five year old. A page and a half is good for that age.

200 pages is a little over expectations.

Anyway, we didn’t have word processors at that stage. It was all pen and paper. Now the kids are using tablets.

I remember buying salt and vinegar chips for 50 Cents, now I listen to Post Malone.

It’s the whole cultural issue. I have dementia now. And foot in mouth.
