Actually, I would like to reassure you that this will never happen, and it will never happen because of the way LLMs are trained. AI writing is only as good as its input, and its input is the totality of writing available on the internet. All the terrible, barely-started stories on sites like fanfiction.net and AO3 go into it and lower its writing quality. That's not even including the fact that there is now so much AI slop floating around that finding new, uncontaminated training data for the AIs is becoming a problem for AI devs.

Yeah. Youre right. I suppose everything that could be invented has already been invented. No improvements or new innovations coming from this field.

I feel ive been round and round on AI enough. I will just state…if I know you are using AI, I will not help you.

Well, I suppose we could have another breakthrough in AI technology that supercedes LLMs and neural networks, but as far as they go, AI writers will never be better than the best human writers. It's just a limitation of the technology.

As for never using AI, well, I do think that there are legitimate uses for it, even as a writer. For example, I think it can help with writer's block by giving you ideas. Even if you never use those ideas, they can make you think about the issue from a different perspective. It's kind of like talking to someone except you don't have to wait around for someone else nor take up their time with your stuff.

AI might "write better" and sure as hell will write faster, but it won't write the same story you will.

It writes good copy and flashy, impressive shit like a new toy. Whatever.
