This is a bit late, as--being the impulsive bonehead I am--I have already butted headfirst into the forums, but I want to introduce myself.

My name is Miranda, and I'm writing an epic fantasy novel following the adventures of hot-tempered archer Tomriin Nimenai. Besides writing, I enjoy drawing, archery, fencing, and outdoor living. My writing draws inspiration from Celtic folklore and Native American heritage arts. I have mild ADD and alternate between amazing creativity and absolute frustration and distraction.

Now that I've been all spontaneous and weird, I'm done.

Hi, Miranda.

Don't think that mild attention deficit will prevent you from writing. It just means you can switch what you're working on more easily than some people can. Not able to concentrate on actual writing today? Go do something active (archery and fencing can both count as "hands-on research" for a story, y'know) and leave the words alone for a while to sort themselves out. You may be surprised at how much of the work of writing actually happens while not putting words on the page.

Also, "spontaneous and weird" is good. It means the right (or left, if you're a southpaw) hemisphere of your brain isn't atrophied. :)
