I get it confused. I thought it was a misnomer, but it was actually an onomatopoeia. I searched assonance and alliteration, and they were close. You could also get confused with synonym or homonym. I wonder, in the field of etymology, regarding words in the literal and figurative, what would polarity and duality mean for you?

Polarity refers to the which state of being or alignment an object has at a given moment. Duality is the possibility that either or both of two states could exist or be adopted at any point.

Polarity in etymology could mean words with opposite meanings (like "cleave" meaning to split or to cling). Duality might refer to words that carry two distinct but related meanings (like "sanction" meaning to approve or to penalize). Both highlight how language evolves to hold multiple, sometimes contradictory, layers. Fascinating stuff.
