So after two years of my family, friends, and writing group ignoring everything I've written, I have realized I simply have to accept that no one will ever read what I write. I am deeply bitter about this. Apparently my novels are so horrifically bad that even opening the word document causes reader anguish. Either that or my friends, family, and writing group are too lazy and just don't care.

Therefore I will have to seek strangers online who might, out of the goodness of their hearts, read maybe as much as a single chapter. I am fully prepared to be ignored here as well. What are the odds that anyone here would be interested in a 100k magical dystopian monster movie with moral ambiguity?

As you can see, I'm a miserable sod, who, after this one post, will likely disappear, never to bother you lot again.

Hello fellow newbie! Given that your writing seems perfectly intelligible here, I think it's more likely that you haven't found the right audience yet... For the people in our lives who haven't grown up reading fantasy, the genre often seems as strange and obtuse as an engineering manual. Both have a lot of unfamiliar vocabulary, at least. Don't give up on things just yet.
