Silmarillion Summarized

I think she did a really good job, especially in such a short amount of time. A map of the various locations might've been helpful, but I can see why a board to move pieces of paper around was what she went with.
Thoughts, discussion, what do you guys think?

Youtube had already served me this video as well.. I'm in two minds about it. I think she managed to sort of give a summary of everything that happened in the book. Yet at the same time, she kind of missed the essence and the feel of it. The way she described it makes it seem a lot more silly than the thing actually is.

It's still impressive. And as someone who read the Silmarillion multiple times, I enjoyed watching it and be reminded of all the great story moments. But I'm not sure it actually helps someone who hasn't read it yet.

It's probably down to the format she chose. By going through it chapter by chapter, you're kind of stuck in brief, factual summary mode. While going with a perhaps less linear and literal summary would have captured the essence of the Silmarillion more.
