Actually, I was not inspired by any book to write. I was inspired by my friends and things I saw in the culture and world around me. Course, I was so slow that all that stuff has changed since I started, but... that how it happened.
For me, genetics had a lot to do with it. I come from a long line of Irish writers on my mom's side so I can dazzle with literary gymnastics, and from my dad I got charm and a whole lot of bullshit. Which is which? Well, one of my mantras is 'if you can't dazzle them with dexterity, then baffle them..." 
I've been telling stories since I was about five and my mom would type them as I spun them. Never really stopped.

Nothing inspired me to write. I write because I have to, it's a deeply personal thing. What I write about is based on things I've seen and done, but that has nothing to do with inspiration. Maybe your question is a little limited?
I think maybe it's closer to 'driven' than 'inspired?' I know that holds true for me, most of the time.

Yes, I think I'd use the word "driven" to describe that sense of compulsion I now have. I'm not sure I could have expressed it that way when I started to write, but I'm that much older and more experienced now.

The Song of Hiawatha, almost as soon as I could read. It gave me a lifelong love for both poetic language and myth.
Like others here, I write because there is no option not to write. I've been doing it all my life, though for most of it I was pretty much thrashing about among cobwebs and shadows.
That said, I do distinctly remember being awestruck by Ray Bradbury's Martian Chronicles. Sure, the stories themselves, but no more so than reading Wells or Asimov or Clarke. But with that particular book it was the prose itself that caught me. No, I did not then sit down and write stories. That was more a long transition from writing down ideas, concepts, and fragments, to writing actual stories. There was no distinct moment in there, though there were a couple of milestones. But I've always looked to that book as an example of how not just the story but the actual prose can strike a bell with a reader.

My creativity. There are so many stories that haven't been told and it seems that I'm the only one who knows them and thus can tell them.

I was not inspired by a particular book. I read many books, was always a reader. One day, during a bout of unemployment, I said to my wife "hey I wonder what would happen if..." She said "write it." so I did.

Probably after a while of not being sure what I wanted to do I started to write then draw/electronic music creation.

Well, I was definitely inspired by my favourite author Rick Riordan, but I was also inspired by my own imagination and all the stories I would write in my head. Then one day I thought, I want to write my ideas down so other people can enjoy them too. At first I only wrote short stories, mainly in primary school for my own entertainment. Then 2 years ago I was rereading one of my Rick Riordan books. I think it was one of the Kane Chronicles. And I decided that I wanted to write a fantasy as magical and enjoyable as this. I started writing, but since I was more used to short stories or extracts, it wasn't very long so I decided to give up. Then last August, I found it in the arts and crafts section of my bookshelf and read it over. I thought I can elaborate on this and change it to be better. I just started writing, somehow knowing exactly what to say and how the storyline would go and now I'm on chapter 4 of my first draft. I feel like creative writing has always come easier to me than other styles of writing, so I think that's how I instantly knew what to write and basically the whole story line. I already have ideas for the second one if it becomes a series.

My Wife (if I had one) would be either incredibly amused by one of my future stories or she'd wonder what kind of games I've played that 'inspired' them.
I was inspired a lot by old games (Particularly RPG) and seeing how they 'did things' story wise (And to some degree still do) and thought 'fine I'll do it myself'
Though I started with a novelization of Ocarina of Time for my first serious attempt at writing.
