Fungal Mystiscm

Fungal Mysticism is a mystical power that fungihumanoids possess thanks to communicating with christian mystic monks, who can use mystical power to create fungi that have spiritual power over nature, like causing decay to a person's body, and can grant spiritual messages across the land, communicating with fungihumanoids, where to them it's supernatural and a miracle, allowing them to connect to God. this also can involve healing people, through special mushrooms being the lion's mane mushroom which when used by a shaman fungihumanoid, they can increase healing capabilities but need to in a sense, an amount of mushrooms like a large amount, depending how large and fatal the wound is. The way shaman fungihumanoids actually learned to use this is through another form of knowledge called Mycology, which allows them to study all forms of fungi, and the other ability they'd gain is creating hallucinations, making people see things that aren't real for self defense again an enemy aswell as shaping and manipulating fungi to either trap or control, as what this also needs is a spiritual power called spiritus, which in their culture spiritus represents the life force of everything. They could also control mold, which connects to fungi, as a way to destroy anything that is harmful to their people if anyone tried destroying their food source, but another factor they'd gain from fungal mysticism is changing their form's shape in the most advanced form, making them seen as a dangerous rank of a shaman, meaning they can liquefy their body, grow to large sizes temporarily, cause a parasitic infestation growing multiple fungi on bodies of food or people, create hallucinogenic pheromones, and can also have a symbiosis with other plants to benefit the shamans.

Hi Greenbee,

I cant say I see too much lore on Fungal people and things, and it quite interesting that you have interest in this, but seeing what you have been posting, I wonder if this might be better placed in something like Obsidian, or a wiki, or even Word Anvil. If the goal is to store it someplace to preserve it, that would be more accessible in both format and function to people outside of MS.

Given the reputation of Mushrooms already, that many are poisonous and/or cause hallucinations, I can see how these might enter the mystical realms. If one is having vision, who would they know it is divine, or just a trick of the mushroom?

How do Mushroom people feel about plain old mushrooms? Are they kin or just things?
