    Weird Dreams

I dreamt that I was on trial for murder, but it was a so called "sovereign citizen" court and although I was found guilty and sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, I got up and said "I do not consent" and walked away and nobody tried to stop me.

How long would a fresh Undead last before decomposition?

I'm imagining a person who found a spell that said it would make him immortal but instead it made him Undead without him knowing it, and rigor mortis got him outside. Flies and the like laid eggs on him for hours before he could move again. How long would it be before his sight went and his mind...

What sort of holidays does your world have?

Vallermoore has three-The Queen's Birthday is a time of feasting, fun and fireworks, Sunreturn is like our Christmas, a time of feasting and fun and presents and singing, and New Year's Eve Day, when people jump off a chair at midnight, sing the New Year Song, and drink rather too much alcohol.

"Why do we burn the dead mum?"

In one of my worlds, Undead only rise (or try to, those who are either cremated or firmly buried underground can't) once a year, so the authorities are ready for them. In another, it is very hard indeed to raise the dead and very few people can do it.

Human souls being linked to decomposition

I imagine the priests are immensely powerful in this world, as only through a decent priest controlled funeral and burial can free the soul from either being devoured by a wraith or spending days, week, months, maybe years trapped helplessly in the dead body unable to move or speak with nothing...

Human souls being linked to decomposition

Wouldn't the souls go a bit insane trapped in their dead bodies for months or years with nothing to do?

How is murder and r--e punished for in your world?

Murder in Vallermoore is punished by hanging. In the lands of the De Madden Company murderers hang at the yardarm. In the Kraken States, they are fed to the Kraken in charge. Rape has two degrees, first degree which is a death sentence, or second degree that can be punished by imprisonment...

What are the Consequences of using Magic in your World?

It depends what you use it for. Many spells are legal, at least unless misused. Punishments for magical misuse range (from lowest to highest) -A simple warning not to do that again. -A fine -A big fine -A flogging -Imprisonment for a certain amount of time -Being renamed, relocated and having...

What type of government/hierarchy do you use? And how many kinds are there?

Vallermoore-A Queendom, with the difference that most Queens are lesbian so rather then being passed down through a family, there is some flexibility, avoiding the dangers of inbred monarchs over time. The most recent Queen is straight and had a daughter, whose death has driven her slightly...

    Methods of Magic Casting

In one of my worlds magic needs amethyst to work, and when used it becomes magically inert smoky quartz.

What would life be like on the moon of a Jovian planet?

What do you think having a large Jovian planet hanging in the sky would do for religion on the planet? And how to have the moon close enough to the planet for the Jovian planet to be larger in the sky then our real-life moon without frying the moon with radiation? A strong moon-based magnetic...
