    Word Processor

I still use an old copy of MS Office 2003. And yes, it does work with Windows 7. Give thought to how your manuscripts should be submitted though. The various office programs can sometimes create problems when converted to PDF which is what is required for going to print. Writing it in...

    How to write a best-seller?

The writing must appeal on different levels. Look at Dr Who for example. My six year old sits there fascinated my the monsters and aliens and can recount the story he understood afterwards. I am seeing the undercurrents between the Doctor and Amy and get all the small stuff a kid misses. Dr...

    What Makes a Title Great?

A title must be created on more than a whim. People will Google for it, and search for it in bookshops, so it must have keywords in it. It should be like an SEO exercise. If you are writing about dragons that live in a cave, you want the dragon enthusiasts and the cave people who are...

    Your True Purpose for Writing

You have to enjoy it first and foremost. If you enjoy words, you will write for free (on forums for example) just to flex your writing muscle. I never subscribed to the idea of it being an "art" that must be read at any cost (or no profit). Our books are good, they sell, and they get good...

    How old are you?

A young 41. As Jeremy Clarkson once said, its all downhill from your forties on the road to phlegm and catarrh. :D

    Howdy All!

I used to watch it as a kid back with Tom Baker. I later rediscovered it again around the time David Tennant arrived. I introduced my six year old son to it as an alternative to Horrid Henry and he is now a huge Doctor Who fan.... What Matt Smith lacks, Karen Gillan more than makes up for. Yum!

    Howdy All!

To be honest, I preferred David Tennant. I don't think Matt Smith has really embraced the role like he could have done. Amy is a step up though eh? For the curious, our best-selling one is >>here<<, which as I said, has little to do with this genre. Although that said, some of the fellows who...

Can you make a living as a fantasy writer?

The problem with fantasy is it is a crowded marketplace, and you must be head and shoulders above the rest and have a huge slice of luck to succeed. In reality, very few will manage it. Writing needs to be your hobby until you hit the big time. Meanwhile, you need a proper job.

Technology - What do you use?

I use Word and Notepad. Really, it doesn't matter how you get it written down; only that you DO get it written down.

    Bad habbits

Poor spelling and grammar are two of the worst bad habits.

    I just got a Kindle!

I wont make my book available for electronic download - paper only for me! It is my feeling that the files are child's play to crack, and before you know it, your tome is available for free on The Pirate Bay or some such site. That means zero revenue from those "copies". I prefer reading a...

    Facebook

I don't have a Facebook account. I never fancied Facebook or MySpace. I do have a MyDot account which is poised to take over from those two in the next couple of years anyway it is rumoured.

    Howdy All!

Howdy all! I was pointed at this super site by a pal so I thought I would come on over and take a look. I am a published author, and have another book in progress. My published genres are not fantasy storytelling, but who knows what the future holds? Nice to meet y'all. :)
