Thanks, fleamailman! :) Actually your post has a lot of advice about writing. I probably learn as much from reading - and seeing how people express themselves and communicate - as I do from foruming. I think maybe 50/50.

I like this thread. Titles in manuscripts are something I hadn't even considered. But yeah, I agree now that the title should be something catchy that describes the book and not something repeated in the book.

I like using made up names that fit with the character's persona. If it's someone really hardcore (for example) then I might give them a name like Brak or Chelg. I like to keep the names short and simple too so people will remember them more easily. But since "hardcore" is only a part of their...
