So sad. I always looked forward to his reviews, and he was almost never off. If he panned something 99% of the time I knew it was dreck. And he had the courage to pan hard...the worst from Ebert? No stars. Loved him for that. Good bye, Mr. Ebert, you will be missed.

I think Rory is awesome. Must admit it took them a loooong time to develop his character beyond "that guy Amy is marrying ...why exactly?" I had the opposite complaint: the writers seemed to be putting Rory in mortal peril for lack of any good ideas. They're doing that with the Doctor too...

Thank you for this. I always hated doing these...it' goes better knowing where apparent butchery is actually a promotional asset. Ironically, after muddling for years, I sorted out most of these bullet points on my own...but nice to see them laid out.
