Something I neglected to mention is that this information is what the humans of Opurane believe. In reality, the gods are false, little more than elevated humans who have used time and Deijarune to create an illusion of power.
Yes the gods live together, I consider them at this point to be...
In the world I am currently building (Opurane), there are two gods:
Viercyss - God of the Sun, God of Life.
Issymral - Goddess of the Moon, God of Death.
The Sun is the spring of life, the vessel which carries the soul of every unborn human. The Moon is the crossing to the afterlife, the...
I thought it would be really difficult to come up with a title I liked for my WIP but yesterday it just came to me. I was going to wait until I had finished writing but I guess it all depends!
In my universe the Gods name the planet, (there are many Gods and many human inhabited planets) and the one I'm working on is called Varsule :) It makes it easier for me this way at least, the name doesn't really have to have any real meaning!
Agreed, I had to stop reading, I just put the book away and fumed. But at least it wasn't for nothing ;)
@Graylorne I wouldn't be killing her off for shock effect, even though it will be a shock. What I want the character to do would most definitely result in her death, for the Gods to allow...
@Steerpike - Thanks, I agree, if I handle it well there shouldn't be too much of an issue. But we'll see :P
@shangrila I can see the similarities with Sanderson, I'm a massive fan and I was so shocked when he killed off that particular character. It was a very powerful plot device though, in a...
@Ireth - Thanks! I hope people find it interesting, it should be a twist they didn't expect. I don't plan for her to be gone completely, the reader will hear from her every now and then, but she will become more of a symbol for other characters, she'll never feature in the story again fully...
I plan to write a series of three books (I know, ground-breaking right?) set in a world called Varsune. My main character is Khyra Sylevar but obviously the story switches between the points of view of a few other important characters. In the second 'book' Khyra is tricked and betrayed by a...
I was thinking that each player might only pick one? To reduce the chances of getting a special card and killing the human so quickly haha ;) I am glad you like the idea though!
Well I was thinking of them as including left and right and identifiers like that, the cards being red or black to match like traditional cards. If you didn't want, not every card would have to be in play and in a deck of cards with higher numbers you could include 'special cards' that are like...
How about this for an idea: Each player has a small, hollow glass sphere - one side of which has a long, thin, needle-like tube. There is a deck of cards, each card has the image of a section of the human body painted on it: the head, neck, right leg, left leg, arms and so on. Players shuffle...
I'd really like to have a read of it, sounds like you've got some really interesting stuff tied up in it :) I'm not sure as to what part you mean when you say: "I'm currently stuck on it and wonder if I should delete the whole part".
Send it to my email if you want me to have a read through :)
