I really enjoyed these books. I have posted my very personal opinion about them on my blog: The Riyria Revelations by Michael J. Sullivan. « About reading and writing.
Hopefully the next book will arrive soon, so I can continue reading.
I bought the first book today and I am really looking forward to reading it. On my way home, I have read the first two pages and they made me even more curious.
I really like this comment. It is what I try to do in my writings. Don't judge your characters as a writer. Of course you can write down the opinion from one of the characters about an other character. 'Good' and 'evil' just depends on your believes, your upbringing, your situation, goals, the...
As a reader, I don't really mind if a book is a stand alone or the first in a serie, although I might not buy a book that is from a series that contains more than three books, before I read something about it that made me really, really curious.
As a writer, my first novel is a stand alone...
I am not sure how to do this, so maybe somebody has ideas? What would be the best way to show which links are in Dutch and which in English? Two separate lists is not an option, I think.

I know the Dutch market is not nearly as big as the English or American market, but many Dutch fantasy-lovers also like to read English stories, so it is not a totally unatractive...
Hydrhaga was my first novel in the Netherlands and it will be my first story that will be translated in English. It is not yet available, but it will be released February 2013 as paperback, e-book and kindle-edition. Hydrhaga will be published by the Dutch publisher Alter Ego Press.
Hydrhaga...
I like the look of the page.
But I think the blog-post is too long. Maybe it is just me, but the first thing I do is scroll down to see how much text I have to read. This was too long, so I didn't start reading at all. The texts on the other pages are less long and more attractive to read...
I have read the opening scene. First thing I notice is that they seem to be smiling all the time, so that doesn't give a sence of something bad is going to happen.
But what I think might be the solution to your problem is the comment Vincent gives that he loves Halloween. If he knows that there...
