I think in electro-chemical impulses between neurons.
Seriously though I generally think in entire phrases, and have a near perfect memory for quotations and passages of text I read or come up with. However I have absolutely no ability to visualize anything or remember anything visually, plus I...
Well its written by Richard Morgan so you know its awesome. Its manages to blend the best of noir detective books with cyberpunk sci-fi all the way through. I loved it, has some great and memorable lines in it too, like that carving he finds on a park bench "Pull on the new flesh like borrowed...
Hmm.. pretty much all my favourite books?
Viriconium (definitely the most obscure and the best book in this list), Light, The Book of the New Sun, The Heroes, The Cold Commands, Altered Carbon, The Emperor of Dreams, Anubis Gate, The Black Company: Books of the North.
To be fair The Book of the...
I am a colossal d-bag who is hard to work with, doesn't mean I'm a bad person (maybe). In seriousness you are right, but when you think about it that way Robin Hood had horrific business practices (theft), but then supposedly made good on those acts by giving it all to the poor. Its all a matter...
I hate the idea that Bill Gates is seen as a 'fat cat' business man to be despised. I think he has given something like 20 billion dollars to charity. As far as I am concerned, he is a modern day Batman and people should be idolizing him, NOT the late Steve Jobs.
If I were going to make a game I wouldn't make any sort of MMO. Ever. Not even once.
All the algorithms are NP-Hard or Exponential. Which means you need to have a LOT of resources to throw at the problem (money in this case) and have several extremely experienced programmer to solve these...
I've read some of the books on that list. Most of them were pretty damn dense, but I must say they all pale in comparison to 'Light'. That book was one convoluted read. The Book of the New Sun is fairly hard to read also (but excellent, one of the best fantasy books ever written).
Someones been reading Terry Pratchet.
You can solve all these problems by saying 'wizards made it so'.
You could also solve them as follows:
Invert our model of how the universe works.
The Sun/Moon System - How does the sun and moon work in this universe?
The Sun and Moon rotate around the...
I used to be extremely permissive and I would read (and probably grow to enjoy) every book I bought. However as I grow older I find I am getting more and more picky. I probably only finish 1/5 books I attempt to read, just because I can't stand reading a book that I feel: is recycling themes or...
I listen to lots of old school prog rock (Yes, King Crimson, Floyd, Rush) as well as a spattering of European folk music and classical music. My main genre of interest is Metal, specifically Death Metal and various avant-garde variations. I'm actually the vocalist in a metal band: Meridian - The...
The Skyrim theme is just a less moving and more nordic version of the Morrowind theme (Morrowind - The Elder Scrolls 3 theme symphony orchestra - YouTube), which is perhaps my favorite game theme ever. Planescape: Torment also had an excellent sound track, as does The Witcher.
