    Member Whereabouts

Kinda new here but I'm off to Germany tomorrow. I'm actually going to be living out there for a few years but I'm not sure how long it's going to take to get the internet set up there. I will be back though. Have fun at the writing convention Starconstant!

    Eragon?

Oh is it? I've never paid attention to Star Wars so didn't pick up on that one. Might explain why my husband enjoyed it though.

Where do you go to write?

Same. Simply disconnecting from the internet isn't good enough because I just reconnect. Being housebound for the past 18 months I've had to find a way around it though. Now I set a timer for 15 minutes, write until that time is up and then allow myself to check forums or whatever for 15...

Where do you go to write?

Sitting on my sofa with my laptop on my knee and my dog curled up next to me. It used to be in bed but since getting married and having my own place I prefer the sofa, it's more comfortable for long periods of time.

    Eragon?

I read Eragon, got part way through Eldest and just quit. I found them dull, unoriginal and just not worth spending any more time on.

Best Novels No One Has Heard Of

I really enjoyed the Orcs:First Blood trilogy by Stan Nicholls but have only run into a couple of people who've heard of him so far. So nice to find something written from the point of view of a race usually shown as mindless, evil killers. I've always been a bit put off by the Warhammer and...

    Cirque Du Freak Series

I've seen the movie and keep meaning to get hold of the books and read them. I'm not a lover of vampire stories and wasn't going to watch the movie but my hubby was watching it and I ended up becoming engrossed enough to put my book down to watch it.

50,000 word challenge for June - National Novel Writing Month

I have a whopping 800ish words so I'm not doing great. Hopefully will be able to pick up the pace next week when I'm actually out in Germany and somewhat settled into whatever housing we've been given there. At the moment I'm at my parents and stressing about the move. Plus I don't really have...

50,000 word challenge for June - National Novel Writing Month

I'd like to join the June one please. Not sure how I'll do since I move to Germany in just a few days but I'd still like to try.

    Hiya

My husband's in the army and that's where we're being sent. Quite looking forward to it to be honest. No more being surrounded by barbed wire fences as we won't be living on base. No more being housebound and completely dependent on my hubby because I can't drive and there's no public...

    Fantasy games :)

Zelda, Final Fantasy and World of Warcraft are my most played games. Sadly I've become really bored of WoW over the past year and am looking for another MMO to play.

My Thoughts on the Lord of the Rings A place to talk about this classic >^.^<

You've found one. I loved parts of the books but I found other parts incredibly dull and a real struggle to plough through. I've never had the slightest urge to pick the books back up and re-read. The Hobbit I absolutely loved though and would happily re-read that.

    Hiya

Hi all, I'm Sarah, 28 years old and have been a fan of fantasy for as long as I can remember. I love reading it and I keep trying to write it but somehow never get anything finished. I've decided that over the next few months I'm going to really get my head down and try to get something...
