    Naming Chapters how?

Yes! During the first few drafts I have chapters labeled "Interrogation" "Murder" "Cover-up" "Car chase" ... (To Answer the OP:) They get more clever after I'm so comfortable with the story that I know backward and forwards ... by that point, I end up with stuff like: "Work is a Four Letter...

    Help Wanted!

I always prefer the term "client". It's as complicated as each person makes it. The better the outline and instructions are, the easier it is for the ghostwriter (I really do mean a COMPLETE outline, chapter by chapter with at least some understanding of who the characters are / should be). If...

    How much do you market?

I just saw an article that claimed you should link your author blog to it so it will repost your articles. Not sure how effective that would be. I almost never use LinkedIn. Perhaps it's used as a networking tool to find other Indie writers/editors/cover artists in the genre for...

Rant: Non writers live in a dreamworld.

I hear you there buddy ... I really do. There was a bit of a PR scandal with Josh Groban several years back when some people told him he was lucky/blessed to have such a nice voice and he apparently went off on them saying it was from practicing 8hrs+ each day. He was rude about it but...

    How much do you market?

Do you start only when you have a new release? Do you keep marketing your backlist? Do you spend money or use other methods (cross posts on blogs, indie interviews, social media etc.)? What does your book marketing plan look like? I'm not trying to steal anyone's methods btw, but as I prep...

    Hello One and All

I believe this is called Incongruity Theory. "In everything that is to excite a lively convulsive laugh there must be something absurd (in which the understanding, therefore, can find no satisfaction). Laughter is an affection arising from the sudden transformation of a strained expectation...

    About Me

No dear - it was merely a gest. I hadan actual message, but apparently, I posted without text. My computer is doing all sorts of funky things right now. The text keeps j umpingI can see where that appears condescending without context ... Mea Culpa. Who wouldn't want to be paid for their...

    NanoWrimo is coming ...

My aunt had a stroke not too long ago. I know she had to give up a lot of old hobbies like knitting, but I had never thought about capitals on a keyboard. I suppose an audio transcription program might be helpful ... maybe? Probably lots of errors but it would be hands free
