What's the most interesting thing your characters have revealed themselves as?

My characters are a lot of things, Gamers, Tacticians, artists, inventors etc but a lot of those are fairly common.

I have a couple that revealed themselves to be somewhat horny (usually In a comical way)

Two that are maybe a bit...imaginative about Romance. (Especially the female lead of my Sinbad story)

The most interesting ones are the ones who drink. I've never had a drop of alcohol in my life, so why about 5 or 6 of my characters revealed themselves as heavy drinkers I'll never know. But I rolled with it because I like variety. Outside of the one mentioned in a different thread. They typically drink responsibly unless they're overtly stressed about something.

In the superhero story I'm working on, there's a lot of secret identity shenanigans going on. Two characters are revealed to be the same person using both hero and villain personas, two of the heroes are dating each other and one of the villains at the same time, and one character might be an alien.

Probably the strongest occurrence of this is for a witch character that appears on book 3. They just grew more and more as I was writing therm. I had no idea how they would be or act, or even what they would add to the story, I just figured the male lead character of the story was boring and needed a counterpart. I think she saved that story. Mostly what she 'revealed' to me was that she did not need or like to play things safe. She took dares and pushed others into daring actions. She was also bad at her use of magic, and struggled with it throughout the tale.

Next would be a Prince character of mine. He still grows in my mind as we go. I am still kind of waiting for him to land and really show me who and what he is. I am not sure if he will, but...he's been pretty steady so far. He is my current work in progress.

Its hard to say 'most'. Everyone moves in their own way and becomes part of the whole. Some are more fun to write than others, but...I am not here for just the fun.

My characters reveal themselves that way too.

Quite often, they will reveal the 'building blocks' like, just enough to get me writing them. I come up with a plan that seems to fit them, sometimes the course swirves a bit, but ultimately reaches the same goal. A lot of my female characters don't completely stick to how they first appear, but still keep in the general area. The Male characters follow the same idea but kinda 'snowball' (like your prince and witch) once they get rolling.

Couple of years ago I put out "Bound" which had a magic system I loved. Not sure how common it is. But it involves injecting yourself with the blood of mythical creatures to gain their magical gifts. My MC became part unicorn through this. Which gave him the normal unicorn gifts, grace, speed, healing, stamina etc. But then I threw in freedom - ie unicorns cannot be chained or imprisoned, which meant that everywhere he went, everything unlocked. And they're herd animals, which meant that when he got into trouble or overdosed on the blood he found himself running with the herd and waking up maybe a day later, not completely sure what had happened or where he was. Also he started growing unicorn traits, horn, mane, tail! I thought it was fun!
