Finished a first draft of my Michelangelo time travel novel

I finished a first draft of my current project. It took about 10 months to write, a good part of it research. I've got a list of things to look for when editing, ranging from the weather to characters who might require more development ( I need to be careful with this, as I don't want to lose the focus on the main characters).

My plan is to go over it electronically, probably on my Kindle, and make notes (on paper!) as I go. Fix it up as best as I can. Then take a break for a couple of weeks, and look at it again with fresh eyes. I may even print it on paper at this point.
A few beta readers - friends and family. Then I will have it professionally edited (I am fortunate in being able to afford that).

Congrats, what inspired you to write about Michelangelo and time travel?
An experience. We were in Rome a few years ago, and in teh entrance area to the Vatican museums I saw a tourist who was heavily tattooed. He was busy zipping legs onto his pants ( youi need to be properly dressed there). Then we went into the museum, and in the sistine chapel, I had a vision . What if Michelangelo came to modern times, and became a tattoo artist?

Shame that all his work would rot so quickly away...

Neat idea, I always wonder at those who are learning, who are they learning on?

I wonder what he thought of a turtle being named after him...
