   I'd be surprised to find such a thing, since the whole point of the story is a tragedy. It's a bit like asking if there's every been a comic version of Oedipus Rex.

   Why would it surprise you? Of all the changes the Arthurian mythos underwent in the last couple centuries, that plot device never did. Come on, get with the attitudes of the times!
