A Space In Spirit/Saber Wolf?

In my story I have two original creatures, Spirit Wolves and Saber Wolves. The Spirit Wolves are a race (a sort of human/wolf hybrid) and the Saber Wolves are what you would call the warrior class of the Spirit Wolves.
I also have Werewolves.

Now, the question is, since Werewolf has no space in its name, should "Spirit Wolf" be like that, or "Spiritwolf," and would this rule change at all for the Saber Wolves, since they are a branch of Spirit Wolf?

Which is correct, with or without a space? Or is it just a personal preference sort of thing?

This is one of those occasions to depend on your writerly instincts. Which looks right to you?

If it were me, I'd vote for consistency across the board and model the new terms in the same fashion as the familiar. In short, I'd pattern them all like "werewolves".

But that's my choice.... What's yours?

Cool. If you're trying to highlight the distinction because of their origins, you've probably made the right choice. But...just because it looks right to you, that's reason enough.

To be honest both variations looked just as good, to me. The origin thing just gave me a good reason to choose one over the other, and I'm happy with this choice. (Also this is how it was originally, so no editing for me )
